A cherry blossom is the name for the flower of cherry trees known as Sakura. Here are more photos from Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village in Taichung, Taiwan on the first day of Chinese New Year 2010 which also wonderfully coincided with Valentine’s Day.

Thanks for sharing. Back in 2001, I worked for a hotel in Nanjing for 6 months and got to spend some time in nearby Shanghai and “the Venice of the East”. Your picture brought back some good memories. I’m sure I visited a couple places you photographed, like the restaurant where the guy is pouring from a kettle with a very long spout.

I noticed you got a couple shots of Starbucks coffee shops. I heard they have been the biggest invasion from the West since McDonalds. ~ fleurya, POTN
