Colours of 1Malaysia is a signature tourism event held every year on the third Saturday of May and this year it’s held on 21 May at Dataran Merdeka (Merdeka Square). Tourism Malaysia invited foreign members of the media and travel trade to join in the Colours of 1Malaysia festivities, and welcomed a total of 179 participants from 21 countries as part of the Mega Familiarisation Programme. The participants, comprising mostly of travel agents, TV crews, and journalists, come from Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Mauritius, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, USA and Vietnam.
