Adding to my small but growing collection of Canon EOS miniatures is this limited edition 75th Anniversary piece courtesy of Interhouse Company. Accompanying this exquisite item is the following description:
HANSA Canon 1936 | Japan’s first 35mm focal-plane shutter range finder camera introduced into the market in 1936. The dimensions of the real camera were 136.5mm x 69mm x 45mm, while its weight was approximately 640g (with lens). Its lens was 50mm f/3.5 and interchangeable. The viewfinder was a box-type, and was designed to pop-up to a specified position by pressing a button on the back. At that time, 275 yen with accessories included. HANSA Canon, as the first Canon camera placed on the market, has marked the beginning of Canon camera long history, we have been working in this camera business for 75 years.

The collection of miniatures I have over the years are all gifts from my Canon distributor. As far as I know, they’re not for sale so I can’t offer any help as to how you can get hold of them.

The replica measures 9.5cm x 2cm with an additional 2.5cm to include the protruding lens barrel. Weighs 143g without the display case. Hope that helps.
