DISCOVER YOUR SINGAPORE

How time flies! It’s been five months since my Christmas In The Tropics assignment with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) last December and thanks to family and work commitments along with countless other distractions that have kept me busy since, I haven’t had much time to reminisce. This is not to say the idea hasn’t crossed my mind. Ever since STB launched their new tourism tagline Your Singapore holiday makers and local residents alike are simply spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do. Here I am caffeine-induced facing the exhausting task of reviewing over 2,800 images from a recent shoot, I so need an escape from this reality and would love so much for another invitation to chill. So this afternoon, DHL dropped off a package from STB containing a webcam—how’s this for a personal launch gambit, eh?

Here are some of the promotional images contained in an accompanying mini-CD courtesy of Singapore Tourism Board. While this package came a little late, the timing perfectly aligns with the amazing one million seats give-away from AirAsia. If you’re reading this and are dying for a holiday, here’s your chance! Good luck 🙂

  1. ‘DISCOVER YOUR SINGAPORE ‘

Why not ‘DISCOVER MY SINGAPORE’ for LOCALS,
Why not DISCOVER OUR SINGAPORE for LOCALS and TOURISTS/OUTSIDERS

Original ad ‘DISCOVER YOUR SINGAPORE ‘ can be the best advt campaign overseas. But when it comes to common for both Locals and Tourists, name Wording needs a change.

    1. It’s just semantics. “YOUR” can be used as it is currently used in precisely the context it’s intended (I think). Whether you’re local or a visitor, it’s still YOUR SINGAPORE—individually speaking.
