Brunei Darussalam

Sometimes it’s hard to find words to completely describe certain accomplishments. One such recent accomplishment is the publication of my OGDC basketball game photo in the Canada Post magazine: COLLECTION CANADA 2009. The press run for this bilingual edition (English and French) is 30,000 and distributed only via the Canada Post online store (October 2009). From start to end, the exchange of emails and notification of payment took a little over 2 months—seeing the finished result made the wait worthwhile. Can’t wait to receive a copy of the tear sheet in snail mail. Stay tuned for my photo feature in the September issue of Singapore Airlines SilverKris magazine: Brunei Darussalam: 5 Must Dos

Canadians have always had a passion for athletics. Over the past century, that passion has led to the creation of some of the world’s most popular and innovative sports – each of which is, in its own way, as uniquely Canadian as it is universally admired ….

Two Peach Baskets and a Soccer Ball On December 21, 1891, a Canadian physical education teacher by the name of James Naismith hung two empty peach baskets at opposite ends of his gym at the YMCA International Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts. He then posted a list of 13 basic rules, which called for two teams of nine players each to attempt to toss a soccer ball into the opposing team’s basket. The rest, as they say, is history. Today, Dr. Naismith’s “basketball” is a veritable global phenomenon – and one of the most widely played and enjoyed sports in the world. — Canada Post
