A FACE TO TAIB INSURANCE AND FRATINI’S CAESAR SALAD

Today is the first weekend of October which also marks the last school holiday weekend. Many parents I know (who shall not be named) including kids are happy that they’ll finally be going back to school where to reunite with their friends. For my children, Jamie and Jewel, school means a freeze on their online games, Maple Story (the Pro edition) and Club Penguin.

So today, we stopped by Fratini Restaurant Kuala Belait for lunch. The excuse: the mere mention of Fratini’s Caesar salad and its special home-made dressing always get an approving nod (besides I love it just as much). True to his words, Jojo, manager and friend, seeing that Jewel and I liked it so much said he would name the salad after JEWEL and so I noticed in the October’s Choice menu is JEWEL’S INSALATA DI SALMONE: Crispy romaine lettuce with home-made dressing, anchovies fillet and croutons with smoked salmon. [keywords being “home-made dressing” + “smoked salmon”]

So who’s JEWEL (other than she’s my daughter)? You may have come across her picture in the TAIB INSURANCE (or more appropriately INSURANS ISLAM TAIB) advertisements including large posters used at their roadshows and exhibitions. The entire set of photographs you see here including a few others were the ones I produced from a couple of years earlier and goes without saying I’m happy they have not yet been retired like the TAIB Bank ones.
