Year after year during the Christmas season, renowned shopping centre Takashimaya rolls out their landmark Christmas tree which never fails to impess. Towering over everything else in plain sight, this tree is where tradition meets attraction as it commands nothing less than centre of attention as visitors and shopper alike wade through near impossible people traffic during peak periods throughout the day. Such is the critical mass of the Singapore population that makes worthwhile to whip out massive scaffolding just to set the tree up!

Anyone who’s ever been to Singapore during this festive period knows just how vibrant the lights get along Orchard Road. This year is no exception but as hunger pangs overwhelms the desire to shoot the street lights, I managed to capture the blue tints that stretches for miles. There is so much happening during this period that it boggles the mind.

It’s beautiful. I have forgotten how X’mas is also decked out in style in Asia. 🙂 We managed to walk right up to the massive X’mas tree in Rockefellar center yesterday, and spent the afternoon “window” shopping at Saks. The lines were crazy but so worth the while. Tis’ the season! Merry X’mas to you and your family!

Many thanks for your offer. I am now back in Brunei though still far from being home. The five days that I was in Sg with the kids had been very productive. I got acquainted with more local photographers that originally planned. One of such persons I met at my second Starbucks Rendezvous is Lyrical Moments’ Stephen Loh who presented me an autographed copy of one of his recent WPJA Award winning wedding photographs (will post this later).
I may take you up on your offer another time if it still stands :). I am certain there are many ‘backyards’ that are very interesting with food being a huge interest of mine (without the kids of course whose fussiness get in the way of a truely culinary experience).
