MALAYSIA | Penang Heritage Trails: Exploring The Penang Heritage Trails on a Trishaw
One of my favourite photos from this set is this portrait of a Penang beca rider.
No sooner had we returned to where we had taken off earlier, across the road were these two friendly ladies’ turn to explore the Penang heritage trails on this beautiful sunny morning.
MALAYSIA | Penang: Turtle Sanctuary, Kerachut Beach
After a number of failed attempts by the girls to hold the turtles, our experienced guide took over and we each took turns taking pictures. Again I credit the G11 for these set of close-up opportunity.
All good things must eventually come to an end. The boat ride reminded me of the times I visited Manukan Island in KK) & Langkawi Island. I think I’ve had more boat rides in Malaysia than I do in Brunei.
MALAYSIA | Penang’s Most Stylish Icon Hits the “G” Spot
Designed as an integral part of the hotel reception counter, the G Lounge is a visual centrepiece with a casual feel of hip and informal environment where guests can check in and out with a drink in hand. The G Lounge is also the longest hotel bar in the island state.
Located on the first floor of G Hotel, Sesame + Soy is comfortably spread across two spacious dining rooms, each with stylish interiors. Soy comes across as a modern Asian bistro, infused with a hint of Zen that complements its casual vibe. Soy offers a scrumptious menu with a wide selection of tempting delicacies such as Roast Duck, Yam Spring Rolls, Fresh Crab Rolls, Sweet and Spicy Mango Chutney.

MALAYSIA | Penang: Afternoon Tea at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel
The 1885 is where we had our traditional afternoon tea and a chance to catch up with our host to understand more about colonial influence and the celebrities that have graced this establishment.
The 1885 offers classical yet contemporary cuisine in an elegant environment. The selection of inventive fusion dishes from our highly trained chefs, accompanied by a superb selection of wines, has marked The 1885 as the perfect choice for an enjoyable dining experience.
MALAYSIA | Penang: The Opulent Pinang Peranakan Mansion

The “boat bar” is made from an actual fisherman’s boat salvaged from the Asian tsunami—a symbol of strength and tenacity just like Frangipani flowers ability to withstand “a high degree of moisture stress and urban pollution.

An addition to my collection of travel souvenirs is a miniature Kuala Lumpur Tower backdropped against the landscape of KL city captured on a good sunny morning.
The 650-hectare Putrajaya Lake is designed to act as a natural cooling system for the city and for recreation, fishing, water sports and water transport. So happened that two men appeared in a boat illustrating recreational activity on the lake.
