Rolleiflex Twin-lens Reflex Digital Camera I spotted at KLCC

If you’re a camera enthusiast and recently visited KLCC, chances are you may have stepped into Foto Flash on the third floor. It’s right next door to the Canon store that’s equally equipped with all things Canon. To cut a long story shot, it’s not the usual plethora of shiny Digital SLR models that caught my attention (I own two Canon 5D Mark II and one Canon PowerShot G11) but rather it’s the 5-megapixel retro style Rolleiflex digital mini camera is a modern take on its 1920s namesake, developed by the German Rollei company. The Rolleiflex MiniDigi AF 5.0 camera is only about 2.9 x 1.8 x 1.8″ and weighs 3.5 ounces.  It is available in red/black or all black.  The camera is 5MP and it has a 1.1″ view screen and produces a square photo.

A well stocked camera store at KLCC where I came across the tiny 5 Megapixel ROLLEIFLEX digital camera.

A 5 Mega Pixel camera with autofocus technology, the Rollei Mini allows you to shoot from a distance of 4 inches to infinity, saving each image to a Mini SD Card. Still the undisputed choice for portraits, the camera features an up-facing 1.1-inch square display for waist level shooting, which encourages your subjects to go on looking and acting naturally instead of posing for the camera. It’s only about 2.9 x 1.8 x 1.8″ and weighs 3.5 ounces, has a 1.1″ view screen and produces a square photo.

Shown here is approximately twice the size of the real thing.
