The Butra Heidelberg Cement Tour de Brunei 2011 Came To Town

Having recently acquired a spanking new Canon EF 8-15mm Fisheye Zoom lens I was curious to see how it could be applied to sports photography. In an unrelated 2-day photography assignment with a client across various branch offices, I quickly adopted the lens for a shoot that the client likes very much (that’s enough testimony to seriously consider owning it). So today, with a few hours to spare this morning, I brought the lens to Kuala Belait’s most distinguished landmark — the Teapot Roundabout — to add more curve to the already curvy road. The intent was also to capture the Butra Heidelberg Cement Tour de Brunei peloton as they negotiated the turn towards the Seria bypass on their way to Tutong district.
