Just a day after The Glass House opened its doors on March 25, 2011 I got to share a beautiful well-rested morning with fellow guests of the hotel at breakfast. The restaurant occupies a prime location in a modern building section of the exclusive heritage hotel, a short walk from the main building. True to the name of the bistro, The Glass House is a contemporary building, set over two levels with floor-to-ceiling glass walls designed to maximize the stunning views of Fort Canning Park and the city skyline.

The bistro boasts a stylish modern interior combined with a relaxed atmosphere and an open kitchen allowing diners to watch chefs work their magic.

One of a number of hotel guests I shared a breakfast moment before 10am. I had my eyes set on the yummy pastries while the gentleman was waiting for the chef to cook his order of eggs.

One of the first things I typically look for at breakfast are the hotel's wide range of pastries. Here, a chef replenishes mouth-watering selection not just for me but also for you! :)
This tranquil oasis in the heart of the city offers all-day dining menu featuring Asian cuisines and local favourites with a contemporary twist. The specialities span across South East Asia including Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand — and most especially Singapore. Signature dishes include fried vermicelli – locally known as ‘fried mee siam’, Boston lobster, the Glass House Chicken Curry, the iconic Hainanese Chicken Rice and Asian-inspired pizzas. Chinese set meals are served in customized bamboo ‘Tiffin’ style. Leading the culinary team is Executive Chef Ivan Lim Kee Yeang, an accomplished track record from Singapore’s leading international hospitality groups including Raffles Hotel, Ritz Carlton, Inter-Continental and Conrad International.
