STORMY SKIES
March 27, 2008 by Jan Shim
Juggling school holidays with the kids and commercial assignments, I found myself shooting at a client’s newly opened shop that is located right in the path of our international airport where planes approaching to land or taking off are in a literal sense, too close for comfort. In the hours that I spent inside the premise where the bulk of my work was, the short time outside in the wide open space was an interesting experience.

This photo was captured on the EOS 20D and EF17-40mm as a plane from a neighbouring airline was on approach to land. The photo was post-processed to get the desired outcome for the self-titled STORMY SKIES effect. After years of shooting corporate events and weddings, I find myself drawn to the artistic freedom of producing stock images. Enjoy!
