GENERATION GAP. DOING THE (RED) THING.
You can change the world–Do The (RED) Thing! goes GAP’s campaign as global partner of (PRODUCT) RED. Half of profits from (GAP) RED sales go to the Global Fund to help women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa. More info here.
This isn’t charity; it’s a new way of doing business.
How we do business is as important as what we do. Gap (PRODUCT) REDTM takes what we do best—creating great products that people love—and channels it into positive change. In addition to sharing profits from Gap (PRODUCT) RED with the Global Fund, we’re also investing in Africa by making some of our products there. – GAP Inc.

WHAT IS (PRODUCT) RED? (RED)TM was founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise awareness and money for the Global Fund by teaming with iconic brands to create (PRODUCT) RED branded products.

On Dec 21, I walked into a GAP store on Orchard Road and walked out with this piece to support the cause. Besides the other red store that I frequent, I’ve recently added GAP clothing to my radar.

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! The photography industry is an excellent platform to raise awareness of the (PRODUCT)RED campaign. I hope to one day have an opportunity to work with the (RED)TM organization in their perpectual drive to treat/eliminate AIDS not just in Africa but also around the world.

Campaigns like this does a lot for the common good, but pity they never transfer well to the Bruneian scene.

Perhaps they’re available only in select GAP store. I bought mine at the Wisma Atria outlet. You cannot miss it if you’re in the area–ground level entrance right below the store front WISMA ATRIA font pictured here.

Looks like you are really having a lot of fun in Singapore and the shopping!
Now that christmas has passed, brace yourself for “Post-Christmas” sale!
haahaha……
I like GAP stuff but they are rather pricey to me. They remind me of Giodarno.

Greetings Jaslyn,
Following your pattern of comments in the past months, I’m beginning to have this idea that you spend the entire daylight asleep and only come out to play past midnight
. Hope you’re reading this—I’ve tried contacting you unsuccessfully on your Gmail—wonder if it got spam filtered.
Unfortunately Giordano doesn’t remind me of GAP. Giordano produces very comfortable polos and tees but the trouble (I have) with them is their infallible tendency to prominently plaster their name on both sides of the sleeves. I can tolerate this much advertising on jeans but there’s a limit with shirts (which is zero tolerance).
That’s just me—I prefer the clean look regardless of the brand and there’re rare exceptions when don’t mind it at all such as my Canon EOS Professional polo shirts. I hate it when I contradict myself

Hi Jan Shim, Happy Holiday to you and your family.
I read about “Red” last year and there are other products joined also, I like the Gap, can only afford it when it’s on sale but I admire them for doing something like this, it creates awareness, blogging is also another way to help their campaign for the cause.

Great post. Now only if the clothes weren’t actually red….makes me look like a tomato!

There are no GAP stores in Brunei unfortunately. We simply do not have the critical mass to make economic sense to open one. GUESS made an appearance once but it was short lived. Giordano has a couple of outlets and most other brands such as Polo, Baleno, Levi’s etc are sold in bigger department stores.
