On April 28, 2007 the Information Management (”IM”) Dept of Brunei Shell Petroleum celebrated their IM Emblem 2006 at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club, a venue 15 minutes from where I live. Themed “Retro Nite”, the event left a lasting impression with great performances from staff and guests. To hype up the retro spirit, a psychedelic backdrop designed by an IM Dept staff was just thing along with staff arriving in garish shirts, Afro wigs and accessories.
The evening began with a welcome speech and presentation of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 Years Service to Emblem recipients by IM Manager, Vincent Liew (pictured above). Games and best dressed contest brought out the creative, fun side of the group and very generous lucky draw prizes had many employees walking away justifiably happy with top prizes of travel vouchers. Folks were entertained by hired performers as well as riveting in-house performances.
